Warm in south

Monday
A band of heavy rain continues to push northwards up the country on Monday, rain falling heavy for some across Scotland. Meanwhile, showery rain gradually clearing from the south with sunshine developing across much of England, Wales and Ireland and feeling warm and humid here too with highs at 18 to 24C, cooler through Scotland with highs at 12 to 16C.
 


Monday Night
Overnight, rain continues to affect north and northeast Scotland but gradually eases and slowly clears offshore. Across the rest of Scotland, England and much of Wales it will be dry with clear spells. Ireland will be cloudy with more rain moving northwards through here pushing into Northern Ireland by morning. Lows at 7 to 11C.
 


Tuesday
A rather muggy feeling day on Tuesday with bright and sunny spells developing. Many places further east look to be largely dry, however, outbreaks of rain will push in and affect western areas including much of Ireland through the day where it will fall heavy. Another warm day for many with highs at 16 to 25C.
 


Wednesday
Much of the rain affecting Scotland overnight gradually clears away during the morning here to see drier and brighter weather. Elsewhere, it will be largely dry with sunny spells for a time before cloud builds and more rain pushes in from the southwest and tracks northeastwards affecting Wales and southwestern counties of England. Meanwhile, a separate area of rain will push northwards across Ireland into Northern Ireland. Highs at 17 to 23C for most, though across southeast England highs up to a very warm 25 to 26C.
