Monday
Sunshine to start the week in central and eastern England. Cloudier skies to the north and west, dry for most. It is going to be wetter in western Scotland and western Ireland with a brisk southerly wind here too. During the afternoon rain spreads into the rest of Scotland, heaviest in the west with only patchy rain to the east. More rain too in Ireland, although turning brighter in the west later. Staying breezy through Scotland and Ireland too. Some patchy rai arriving in northwest England but elsewhere it will be dry with plenty of cloud. A few bright spells may persist in the east and south of England. Highs at 12C in western Scotland, 19C in any sunshine in central and eastern England.

Monday Night
A band of rain slips south through northern England and then into the Midlands, Wales and southwest England in the early hours. Drier for southeast England although cloudy. Some showers across northern England, Scotland and Ireland, these mostly affecting western coasts and hills by morning. Lows near 5C in central Scotland, 10C in southern England.
 

Tuesday
Rain to start Tuesday through East Anglia, the Midlands and southern England as a cold front edges south. Only the far southeast will be dry at first, although there will be spots of rain here in the afternoon. The rain elsewhere should fade through the morning and early afternoon. Plenty of sunny spells for the rest of England and Wales as well as central and eastern Scotland together with eastern and southern Ireland. Showers in western Scotland and the west and north of Ireland. Highs at 20C in the south, 10C in northwest Scotland.

Wednesday
A fair start to Wednesday is likely over eastern England and Scotland. However, a small, yet vigorous area of low pressure is expected to be sweeping into southern Ireland and the southwest approaches, bringing an area of rain and stronger winds with it during the day. There is much uncertainty over the timing of the arrival of rain, and the intensity of it. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.
