Wednesday
Outbreaks of rain pass eastwards across the country on Wednesday, becoming patchy and less as it does across England. Sunshine soon develops behind the rain though scattered showers are likely to affect western coastal areas as well as northern coasts in Scotland. A breezy day for most and windy in the far north with with strong to near gale force winds here. Highs at 12C in northwest Scotland, 14 to 18C elsewhere.

Wednesday Night
Overnight, clear spells for many, particularly further north, though an Atlantic low pressure system will push cloud and outbreaks of rain across Ireland, Northern Ireland into western parts of the rest of the UK later. Lows at a cooler 5 or 6C across parts of Scotland, 8 to 11C elsewhere.
 

Thursday
Thursday is likely to be rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain for a time across Ireland, Northern Ireland and across parts of Wales and central England, before clearing from the west with sunshine and drier weather developing. Sunny spells and showers across Scotland, these merging into longer spells of rain in the west. Sunny spells initially across southern England and dry before gradually clouding over with some patchy rain moving in for some later. Breezy again. Highs at 21C in the far southeast of the country, 11C in northern Scotland.

Friday
Higher pressure builds in from the southwest on Friday. There will be mostly dry and bright conditions in a cooler north-westerly flow though in the strong sunshine should feel pleasant. Scattered showers, however, will affect parts of northern Scotland into mainly coastal areas of northern England. Highs at 12 to 15C in Scotland and northern England, 19C in southern England.
