Cloudy skies for many areas this morning. There could be a few spots of drizzle on hills of northern England, Scotland and Wales, although most areas should be dry. Sunny spells will be most frequent in southern England. Some showers will be developing this afternoon through central southern England, the Midlands, eastern wales, the Pennines and Scotland. More persistent rain in western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Drier in eastern Ireland. Highs at 18C in southern England, 12C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday Night
Rain crossing Scotland and northern England as well as Northern Ireland on Tuesday night. Most of the rain in western Scotland and northwest England. Patchy rain in East Anglia and the west of Wales. Most other places are set to be dry and rather cloudy. Lows at 6 to 9C.
 

Wednesday
Outbreaks of rain across central and northern England as well as Scotland on Wednesday morning as a weak front passes east. The heaviest of the rain in Scotland with only small amounts elsewhere. Southern areas will be drier, with Ireland and the west of the UK turning drier and brighter too. In the afternoon the front reaches eastern Scotland and eastern England making for some heavier showers for a time. Highs at 15 to 19C.

Thursday
A ridge of high pressure builds south of the country on Thursday. A trough in the east may bring a few showers to East Anglia. Elsewhere it should be a dry day with sunny spells and feeling fair warm too. Thicker cloud in Scotland and Ireland, some patchy drizzle north and west. Highs near 11C in western Scotland, 16 to 21C in other areas.
