Wednesday
Rain this morning through much of Wales, central, southwestern England and East Anglia. Dry in southeast England but rain arriving here this afternoon. The rain band may bring one or two heavy bursts with it and quiet a wet afternoon in eastern areas. Much brighter weather developing this afternoon in northern England and Wales as well as western England. Sunshine and showers in Scotland, most in the north and west. A risk of some showers too in western Ireland, but drier and brighter in the east. Breezy in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 19C in the southeast, widely 14 to 16C but just 11C in northwest Scotland.

Wednesday Night
Rain clears from eastern England this evening. Most areas are then going to be dry with clear spells. A few showers overnight over western Scotland and northwest coasts of England, but these will become isolated. Lows at a cool 4 to 7C.

 
 
 

Thursday
A weak ridge of high pressure builds to the south on Thursday. This gives a fair day to most of England and Wales, some decent spells of sunshine, the best in the east. Cloudier in Scotland and Ireland with fronts bringing rain into northern Scotland, and some drizzle to the west of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Breezy in Scotland. Highs at 20C in southeast England, 10C in northwest Scotland.

Friday
Fronts brushing northern Scotland again on Friday. This brings strong westerly winds and rain to the north of Scotland, a little drizzle over northwest coasts. Broken cloud for most of southern and eastern Scotland, northern England, Wales and Ireland, but sunny spells here too. The best of the sunshine is reserved for southern England where it wil be a fair and warm day. Highs at 10C in northern Scotland, nearer 14 to 17C for many, and to 21C in the sunshine in southern England.
