Monday
An area of high pressure is centred to the southwest of the British Isles while an area of low pressure is centred to the northwest and extends a trough southeastwards, toward Scotland. It will be a cloudy day in the north and west with spells of rain in western parts of Scotland and Ireland. Some light patchy rain is possible through the morning in northern parts of England too. Drier and brighter to the east and south with the best chance of good sunny spells in central and southern parts of England. Highs at 5 or 6C in Scotland, 6 or 7C in Northern Ireland and Wales, and 8 to 10C in England and Ireland.

Monday Night
Cloudy in the north and west overnight with clearer skies to the south and east. Rain will persist for the Northern Isles and northwest Scotland and some patchy showers will reach northwestern parts of England and western Wales. Breezy in the north. Temperatures falling to -1 to 5C.
 

Tuesday
An area of low pressure is centred to the north of Scotland on Tuesday. It will be a cloudy and windy day in the north with prolonged spells of rain for the Northern Isles and northwestern Scotland. Rain will also affect northwestern parts of Ireland later in the afternoon as a front moves in from the Atlantic. A drier and brighter day in the south and east though there may be some low cloud around the south coast of England throughout the day. A milder day everywhere with highs at 7-8C in Scotland, 8-9C in Northern Ireland, and 8-10C in England and Wales.

Wednesday
High pressure is centred over the Azores while low pressure is centred near Shetland bringing a strong northwest to northerly airflow to the UK and Ireland. It will be a windy and rather overcast day with light patchy rain for many areas but more persistent rain for northwestern areas. Gales are possible in the north. Brightening in the east later. A cooler day with high temperatures of 5C in Scotland, 6C in Northern Ireland, 7C in Ireland and Wales, and 9C in England.
