High pressure centred over Scotland, northern England and much of Ireland on Saturday with a widespread frost to start the day. It should be a mostly dry and sunny day here. Feeling cold too with some showers for northern Scotland. To the south an area of low pressure passes east and this will bring strong winds, cloud and rain to southwestern areas of England and Ireland. Rain mostly limited to the West Country. Highs at 2 to 8C.


Saturday Night
A mostly dry and clear night across the UK and Ireland with occasional light showers for northern Scotland and eastern England. These wintry over the Highlands and Grampians. Staying cloudy over southern England. Overnight lows at 2 to 5C in the southeast, -3 to 1C elsewhere with a widespread frost and patches of ice forming.
 


Sunday
A chilly start to the day on Sunday with higher pressure to the west and lower pressure to the south and east. A widespread early frost and ice patches. Some showers around northern and eastern coasts and for the Northern Isles, these turning wintry over higher ground. Good spells of sunshine elsewhere. High temperatures at 1 to 7C.
 


Monday
High pressure is centred over Ireland and extends over much of the UK. A mostly dry day with sunny spells, although the threat of isolated mist and fog patches at first as well as a widespread frost. More cloud and some drizzle or patchy rain in northern Scotland. Highs at 3 to 7C.
