This afternon stays rather murky with broken cloud for many eastern areas, although a few showers in easter Scotland. More outbreaks of rain in central and western England, Wales and southwest Scotland. Further rain in western and southern Ireland too. Feeling cold for most at 6 to 9C overall.

Rain overnight through England and Wales and turning breezier for some too. There could be more outbreaks of rain in eastern Scotland and eastern England. Snow over the Grampians. Heavy showers moving into southwest England. Tending to be a drier night in northern parts of Scotland. Lows near 3 to 6C in much of England, Wales and Ireland as well as southern Scotland, but 0C in central and northern Scotland.

Low pressure crossing southern parts of the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This brings an unsettled day with cloud and periods of rain, most through the Midlands and northern England as well as north Wales and eastern Ireland. Windy in places, mainly northern England and eastern Ireland. Heavy showers in central and southern England and Wales. Colder with showers in northeast Scotland, snow over the hills here. Drier in western Scotland and western Ireland. Highs at 6 to 9C for most.

Low pressure to the east of England on Friday with a northerly flow affecting all parts of the UK and Ireland. Eastern parts of England will have some showers and cloudier skies here. A few showers in eastern Scotland too. More western areas are likely to be brighter and drier with some reasonable spells of sunshine. Feeling chilly for all. Highs at 5 to 9C.
