Monday
High pressure is centred over Ireland and extends over much of the UK. A mostly dry day with sunny spells, although the threat of isolated mist and fog patches at first as well as a widespread frost. Cloudier over Scotland with outbreaks of rain for northern areas. This turning to snow over higher ground here. High temperatures at 4 to 7C.
 


Monday Night
Rain clears to the east to leave a dry night across the country. Cloudier skies over Scotland and western areas but mostly clear skies elsewhere. A widespread frost for Ireland and northern England, patchy frost for the rest of the UK. A risk of mist and fog patches forming too, particularly over central and southern England. Overnight lows at -1 to 2 or 3C for most.
 


Tuesday
High pressure is centred over the south of the UK and Ireland on Tuesday. A southwest wind brings more cloud into Scotland. Some low cloud over northwest coasts of England too. Some mist and fog in Wales and parts of England, lifting to give some sunny spells here. A dry and mostly bright day for many however with highs at 4 to 7C.
 


Wednesday
A weak ridge of high pressure to the south on Wednesday. Fronts passing east through Scotland bringing cloud, rain and strong winds here. Showery rain also reach northwestern parts of England, Ireland and Wales. Winds reaching gale force in northern areas. Best sunshine in the south and east. Highs near 5 to 8C.
