Plenty of cloud around through this morning although it should be dry. Some bright or sunny spells in the east. Thicker cloud to the west where there will be a stronger southeast breeze, Some spots of rainin the far southwest of England and southwest Wales. More persistent rain in central and eastern Ireland, but drier to the west. Little change this afternoon with further cloud, but brighter periods in the east. Staying damp in central and eastern Ireland as well as Cornwall. The rain may become heavy in central Ireland. Highs at 6 to 8C, but 12C in the far southwest.

Wednesday Night
Staying wet and windy in Ireland and southwest England overnight, the rain slowly edging eastwards. Drier in other areas with plenty of cloud. There will be some clearer spells in the east with all areas becoming breezy. Some drizzle or patchy rain in eastern parts of England. Lows at -2C in central Scotland, more generally 1 to 3C but 9C in the southwest.
 

Thursday
Low pressure over Ireland on Thursday. Breezy with cloud and rain in Ireland, Wales, southwest England and the Midlands on Thursday morning. This rain edges east through the rest of central and eastern England in the afternoon and evening. Drier in northern England and most of Scotland. Patchy rain in eastern Scotland. Heaviest of the rain in Ireland and Wales. Highs at 6 to 8C, 11C in southwest England.

Friday
Low pressure reamins over the west of the UK and Ireland on Friday. This brings cloud and periods of rain. Further rain in central and eastern Scotland, edging northwards. It will be rather cloudy for most other areas, although some brightness in eastwards area, with little change during the day. Turning brighter in western Ireland. Highs at 7 to 10C.
