Saturday
Low pressure will push fronts eastwards through the UK and Ireland on Saturday. The rain turning heavy at times and turning to snow over the hills of northern England and Scotland. Drier in the east at first, but rain arriving here later. Staying dry for northeast Scotland. Heavy showers and brighter weather following into Ireland and the west of the UK. Temperatures at 3 to 5C in Scotland and northern England, 7 or 8C in southern England, Wales and Ireland.


Saturday Night
Cloudy with further outbreaks of rain for central and southern parts of England as well as Wales. This may turn to snow over higher ground. Generally dry elsewhere with clear skies allowing for a widespread frost to form as well as some icy patches. Overnight lows sub-zero for much of Scotland and northern England; close to 0C for much of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales; and between 1 and 6C for central and southern parts of England.


Sunday
Low pressure clears to the south of the country on Sunday. This is going to be bringing periods of rain to southeastern parts of England, although this eases through the morning. Drier and brighter weather in Scotland and northern England as well as much of Ireland. Cloud building from the west bringing rain to western Ireland through the afternoon. This spreading into the western UK by evening. Cold for all. Highs around 2 to 8C.


Monday
Low pressure to the northwest sends a band of heavy rain from west to southeast across England on Monday. Showery conditions follow behind this to the west for much of Ireland and northern and western parts of the UK. These showers turning to snow over higher ground. High temperatures at 4 to 8C.
