Low pressure over the Atlantic will push fronts into the north-west. Rain on and off for Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Some drizzly rain also reaching Irish Sea coasts of England and Wales. Staying dry for most central regions, but a murky start with low cloud and some fog. Variable cloud and a little sun breaking through. Residual drizzle locally. Temperatures reaching 13 to 17C, locally 20C in East Anglia and the south-east where sun breaks through.

Tuesday night
Patchy rain and drizzle drifts across Wales, the south-west plus central & northern England overnight. Extensive low cloud. Staying dry toward the south-east. Showers move into western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Some cloud breaks for southern & eastern Scotland, perhaps north-west England before dawn, giving a slight frost rurally by dawn, 3 to 6C. Fog patches may form in low-lying areas. Mild in the Midlands and south, lows 9 to 12C.

Wednesday
A weak front produces a little rain in central & southwestern England early in the day, but should fade. Fairly cloudy for the Midlands and south-east. Brighter skies move into the north and west of Britain and Ireland. Lengthy dry periods for most places. A few showers for western Scotland. Pressure builds from the south-west later. Variable winds, mostly light. Highs 11 to 13C north-west, 15 to 17C in the Midlands, south and east.

Thursday
High pressure extends across the British Isles. A fair day overall. Some fog in the morning, but will clear to leave a good deal of sunshine. Variable cloud in southern England, with an easterly breeze on English Channel coasts. Light winds for most places. A southwesterly breeze picks up in the far north-west later. After a cool start, with slight frost in some sheltered rural areas, top temperatures will reach 13 to 16C, warmest in the east.
