High pressure building
Dry and bright for most

Wednesday
A weak cold front will produce a little rain over the southwest of England first thing but this will clear as the front weakens to leave a dry but cloudy day. The rest of the country will see a bright, dry day with sunny spells though some heavy showers are possible over northwestern Scotland. High pressure will build from the southwest through the day. Highs of 11-13C over northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, 15-17C for the rest of England and Wales.


Wednesday Night
A largely dry and cool night across the British Isles. Skies will remain cloudy in the south of England with the rest of the country seeing varying amounts of cloud. Lows at 10- to 11C in south and southeast England where it remains cloudy, single digits (3 to 9C) everywhere else under clearer skies.
 


Thursday
High pressure is in charge across the British Isles bringing a dry and fine day for most. There will be some fog around in the morning but this should burn off quickly to leave a bright day for most, though southeastern parts of England will remain cloudy. Highs of 11-12C for Scotland and Northern Ireland, 13-16C for England and Wales.
 


Friday
A weak front will move into northwestern areas bringing rain to Northern Ireland and western and northern parts of Scotland accompanied by a southwesterly breeze. A cool and foggy start to the day for the rest of Britain though the fog will clear leaving a largely bright day. Top temperatures 11-13C for Scotland and Northern Ireland, 13-17C for England and Wales.
