Sunday
A ridge of high pressure over Southern Britain but with frontal troughs moving south across Scotland. Rain over the north and northwest of Scotland will move south across Scotland and into the north of Ireland too, although some eastern parts of Scotland will see little in the way of rain. Some of the rain will be heavy, especially over windward hill slopes in the west of Scotland. England and Wales will be largely dry with hazy sunshine, although cloud may thicken to give a little rain or drizzle in the far northwest of England later. A stiff southwesterly wind will set in across Northern England, Scotland and Ireland, with gales for exposed areas of Western Scotland. A cool day generally, especially in the rain-affected north, highs 10 to 15C.

Sunday Night
Further rain or drizzle in Scotland and the north and west of Ireland, although the far north of Scotland may become mostly dry. Much of England and Wales will stay dry but a little rain or drizzle is likely in the northwest. Still breezy in the north. Overnight lows 6 to 11C.
 

Monday
Pressure remains high across Southern Britain, while a waving front will affect Scotland and Northern Ireland. Rain or drizzle, heavy at times, for the north of Ireland and Scotland but the east of Scotland is likely to stay dry for much of the time. Patchy light rain or drizzle in Southern Ireland, North and West Wales and Northwest England but much of England and Wales will be dry with some hazy sunshine breaking through. Strong southwesterly winds in the north and west, with gales for Northwest Scotland. Highs 12 to 17C, with highest values in th east.

Tuesday
A weak ridge of high pressure over Southern Britain with a waving frontal trough over Scotland and Northern Ireland edging north. Rain continues to affect Scotland and Northern Ireland but will start to move north. England and Wales will be dry with skies becoming mostly sunny. Breezy for much of the time in the north and west. Highs 13 to 18C.
