Monday
A ridge of high pressure over Southern Britain but a slow-moving, waving frontal trough will straddle Scotland. A fine day for much of England and Wales with hazy sunshine. However, the northwest of England, the north and west of Wales and parts of Southern Ireland will be cloudier with some drizzly oubtreaks, especially around windward hills. Rain or drizzle for the north and west of Ireland and Scotland, although the east of Scotland is likely to stay dry for much of the time. Some of the rain will be heavy, particularly in Western Scotland. Stiff southwesterly winds in the north and west, with a risk of gales for for the northwest of Ireland and Scotland. Highs 12 to 17C, with highest values in the east.

Monday Night
Further rain or drizzle in Scotland and the north and west of Ireland, again some heavy, but the east of Scotland may be mostly dry. Much of England and Wales will stay dry but a little rain or drizzle is likely in the northwest. Still breezy in the north. Overnight lows 7 to 11C.
 

Tuesday
A weak ridge of high pressure over Southern Britain with a waving frontal trough over Scotland and Northern Ireland edging north. Rain or drizzle, still occasionally heavy at first, continues to affect Scotland and Northern Ireland but it will start to move north. Cloudy skies with a little drizzle at first for the northwest of England and Wales but becoming dry generally with a lot of sunshine. Breezy for much of the time in the north and west. Highs 13 to 18C.

Wednesday
High pressure to the east of the British Isles, with low pressure to the southwest of Ireland deepening and moving north. Some rain or drizzle in the north and west of Scotland at first, otherwise dry with spells of sunshine. Highs 14 to 18C in the north, a warmer 19 to 21C in the south.
