Rain in western and southern Scotland this morning. Breezy for all areas, dry in England, Wales and Ireland with some sunny spells here. Perhaps more cloud in southeastern parts of England. This afternoon stays dry and breezy for most of England and Wales. Rain clears northern Scotland to be followed by showers in western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland and northwest England. Highs at 20C in East Anglia, 16C in northern Scotland, 15C in western parts of the British Isles.

Wednesday Night
Showers over western coasts of Scotland fading quickly through the evening. The night then becomes dry for most of the country with clear skies in the east. Thicker cloud in the west later in the night with a further area of rain and drizzle reaching southern Ireland, western Wales and southwest England later. Lows at 8C in central Scotland, but a mild 10 to 13C for most.

Thursday
High pressure east of the country on Thursday with low pressure to the west. This brings a cloudy morning, but some drizzle and rain affecting western and southern coasts and hills. The rain turns more persistent during the morning across southern England, eastern Ireland and southwest Scotland, before spreading north and east through the early afternoon. Drier weather flows to the south and west with low cloud and drizzle over western and southern coasts and hills. Breezy in the west too. Highs at 19C in southeast England, 14C in northern Scotland.

Friday
After a wet night in Ireland and western parts of Wales, England and Scotland, the rain will be clearing through Scotland and eastern England on Friday morning. Brighter weather follows from the west and south with drier conditions and sunny spells. Further rain may reach southern coasts of England towards the evening. A very mild day again at 21C in East Anglia, 16C in western areas.
