Monday
Another warm and fair day across much of southeast England with good spells of sunshine. A front brings cloud through the Midlands, western and northern England with periods of rain, some heavy this morning in northern England and north Wales. The rain turns more patchy in northern England later this afternoon. Contrasting weather in Scotland and much of Irland where skies will be clear with lots of sunshine as well as feeling much fresher. More cloud always affecting eastern Scotland. Highs near 14C in northwest Scotland, a muggy 25C in southeast England.

Monday Night
Cloud and some patchy rain or drizzle continue over the high ground of northern England and the Midlands overnight. To the south and east it will be drier with clearer spells and warm again. Fresher and dry with clearer skies over northern and western parts. A touch of ground frost could affect sheltered areas of Scotland and Ireland. Lows at 5C here, but only 17C in southeast England.

Tuesday
The remnants of a cold front lying from northern to southwest England on Tuesday. This brings cloud but mainly dry weather, apart from a spot of rain on hills. Drier and staying warm to the south and east with lengthy sunny spells here in an increasing northeast breeze. Sunny, dry and fresh in Scotland, northwest England, Wales and Ireland, although some showers may affect western Ireland and western Scotland in the afternoon. Tops at 24C in southeast England, 15C in northern Scotland.

Wednesday
A ridge of high pressure extends over much of England, Wales and Ireland on Wednesday. This brings a fair day after a chilly start for many. There will be a brisk wind affecting southern and eastern England with some cloud here too and the risk of a shower on eastern coasts. Increasing cloud in Scotland and Ireland as a front moves in from the east bringing some showery rain. Temperatures at 19C in central England, 15 to 18C elsewhere.
