Thursday
Rain spreading through central and southern England and Wales as well as Ireland this morning. Drier for north Wales, northern England and Northern Ireland as well as much of Scotland. Cool in Scotland too with gales continuing in the far north where there may be an shower. Wet this afternoon for Ireland, Wales and most of northern and western England. Drier across East Anglia and the south, but becoming very windy here with severe gales in the west. Staying dry in much of Scotland although rain in the far south later. Highs at 13C in northern Scotland, 24C in southeast England.

Thursday Night
Wet and windy for many this evening and overnight as low pressure passes east. gales could be severe in England and Wales, these strong winds then spreading to Scotland and Ireland as the rain clears east in the early hours. Cooler, drier weather follows from the west, just a scattered shower on western coasts and hills. Lows at 6 to 13C.
 

Friday
Low pressure moves away to Scandinavia on Friday. A fresh to strong west to northwest wind affects all parts of the UK and Ireland. There will be showers over northern and western coasts and hills with many eastern, central and southern areas staying dry. Feeling much fresher with temperatures at 10C in northern Scotland, 17C in southeast England.
 

Saturday
A ridge of higher pressure builds on Saturday. This should bring fair weather to most with sunny spells. However, a few showers could affect eastern coasts. Thicker cloud and some rain arriving in the southwest of Ireland and southwest England ater with the winds increasing here too. Temperatures will be rising to between 10 and 16C.
