A breezy morning ahead in Ireland, Wales and southwest England. Rain reaching the Midlands and southern England by midday, at the same time turning brighter in the far south of Ireland and southwest England. A chilly start to the day in eastern England and Scotland, a touch of early ground frost. Cloud increasing in easter England and southwest Scotland, otherwise plenty of sunshine and dry. Rain then passes east through this afternoon, ti be int central and southern Scotland and eastern England by mid afternoon. Drier weather for a time in western England and Wales, although some heavy showers will mix with sunny spells in Ireland and southwest England. Highs at 11 to 12C in northern England and Scotland, 15C in southeast England.

Wednesday Night
Showers merging to longer spells of rain tonight in Ireland, England and Wales. These will be heavy and prolonged at times, with the risk of a crack of thunder too. A windy night in Ireland and southwest England. Early rain fading in much of Scotland and eastern England, although always some showers over eastern coasts and through Orkney and Shetland. Lows at 3 to 7C.
 

Thursday
An area of low pressure broadly covers the whole of the UK and Ireland, probably centred over the Irish Sea. This has areas of rain and showers rotating around it, some of the rain heavy. There is a risk of thunder in places too. The most persistent of the rain is likely over southern Scotland, eastern Ireland, Wales and southern England. Brighter in the far north of Scotland. Breezy again in Ireland and southern England. Highs at 10 to 14C.

Friday
The area of low pressure drifts into the North Sea on Friday. A mix of sunshine and showers in most areas. Most cloud may affect northern and eastern Scotland as well as eastern England. Brighter skies further west with some showers. The showers tending to penetrate inland as the day wears on. Heavy showers, with some thunder, could affect southern coasts. Highs at 12 to 18C.
