A front brings some showery rain into northwest Scotland this morning, this edging very slowly south into this afternoon, reaching central Scotland and the northern coasts of Ireland by this evening. Turning drier and colder in the north of Scotland later. Sunny spells with broken cloud for England and Wales. Scattered showers over the hills of Wales, central and southern England. Dry in Ireland with the best sunshine to the south and east. Highs at a warm 23C in southeast England, widely 19C, but a cooler 7C in northern Scotland.

Wednesday Night
A quiet night with increasing amounts of cloud, especially in central and southern Scotland, as well as Ireland, northern and western England and Wales. It should be dry overall, although an isolated showers may affect southeast Scotland and the far northeast of England. Lows at 1C in northern Scotland, 5 to 7C for other areas.
 

Thursday
High pressure is to the east of the UK on Thursday. This is going to be bringing much dry weather and a fair amount of cloud. Most of the coud will be in western areas, and there is the chance of an isolated shower over Wales and southern England this afternoon. Some bright or sunny spells here and there. Highs at 23C in sunshine in southeast England, 10C over eastern coasts of Scotland and northeast England, generally 15 to 18C.

Friday
High pressure remains east of the UK on Friday. Fronts may affect Ireland and Scotland. Most cloud in western and northern parts of the UK and Ireland, with a risk of some spots of rain and drizzle possible on hills and coasts. The risk of some isolated showers over England, the risk of an odd heavy one on southern England. Highs at 23C in southeast England, 16 to 19C in most other areas but 15C over the west.
