Rather cloudy with some showery spots of rain across England, Wales and Ireland this morning, feeling cold in the breeze too. Turning drier and brighter in much of Scotland, but some showers in the north and west. Little changes this afternoon with further scattered showers in central and southern parts of the country, with more persistent showers in northern Scotland. Highs at a chilly 5C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.

Thursday Night
Broken cloud overnight for many areas. Some showers in northern and western Scotland as well as over the hills of northwest England and west Wales. Those showers could affect northern and western Ireland too. Drier in central and eastern parts of the UK with clearer spells. Lows near 0C in central Scotland, 2 to 5C elsewhere.
 

Friday
High pressure is to the south of the UK on Friday. A weak front brings some cloud in western Ireland with spots of drizzle here. A further weak front in western Scotland where there will be spots of rain too. Broken cloud in other areas, some bright or sunny spells breaking through the cloud. Temperatures at 5C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.
 

Saturday
Higher pressure stays east of the UK again on Saturday. Cloudier skies to the west bringing some outbreaks of rain here. Dry for most other areas, although more cloud than recently. Always the threat of some drizzle on western coasts and hills. Highs at 10 to 14C.
