Thursday
Low pressure brings an unsettled day across the whole of the UK and Ireland. Areas of showers, some of them heavy and thundery as well as prolonged. During this morning the highest risk of the showers and rain wil be in eastern Ireland, southern Scotland, Wales and southwest England. Some sunshine in central and eastern England. This afternoon heavy and thundery showers become widespread over many areas. Perhaps fewer showers in the far north of Scotland. Perhaps windy for a time in the far south of England. Highs at 12 to 16C.

Thursday Night
The showers continue through this evening and again they will be heavy and thundery. These should be fading from many areas by midnight, although there will still be some isolated showers around coasts and hills. Heavier showers affecting the far southwest of England. Clearer spells for other areas. Lows at 2C under the clearer skies, 6C for other areas.
 

Friday
The area of low pressure is going to be east of the UK on Friday. This allows the winds to turn to the northwest. Showers across Scotland and eastern England, some of these heavy at times. Fewer showers in most central and western areas. However, the showers could be heavier in Northern Ireland where there could be a thunderstorm or two. Highs at 10 to 16C.
 

Saturday
Low pressure east of the UK on Saturday brings a cool northwest wind and some showers to northern and eastern Scotland. Showers affecting eastern England too. More western and southern areas should be brighter with sunny spells. Highs at 12 to 15C.
