Friday
A rather cloudy day in many areas of the UK and Ireland, the thickest of the cloud always to the west. Drizzle affects western and southern coasts of Ireland, together with some hills fog, this extending into the west of Scotland during the day. Brighter in eastern and southern areas with sunny spells, although tendency for cloud to increase here in the afternoon. Northern Scotland could see some showers, these affecting Shetland and Orkney too, and faling as sleet and snow at times. Highs at 9C in Ireland and southwest England, 3C in northern Scotland.


Friday Night
Clear spells developing overnight in England and Wales as well as eastern Scotland. Cloudier skies in Ireland and western Ireland. There will be some outbreaks of rain and showers over western coasts and hills. Lows at 1 to 4C, a touch of frost in sheltered arts of England and Wales.
 


Saturday
High pressure to the east of the UK with a milder southerly flow developing for all. Lots of cloud, especially in western and northern areas where there will be some drizzle over coasts and hills. More eastern areas should be brighter with some sunny spells and it will be feeling warmer in this sunshine. High temperatures at 15C in the east, 12C the west.
 


Sunday
Low pressure west of Ireland with high pressure to the east. A warm southerly wind will be affecting all parts of the UK and Ireland. Sunny spells in central and eastern areas. Thicker cloud to the west with outbreaks of rain and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills as well as much of Ireland. Windy in many areas, these touching gale force in the far west. Highs at 15 to 18C for many, 14C in western areas.
