Sunday
Very windy across England and Wales at first today. Gusts to 50 mph to affect the hills and the coasts of Kent and East Sussex. These strong winds will be lessening through the day. Heavy outbreaks of rain across central, southern and eastern parts of England will be gradually clearing from the west during the day leaving most areas dry but cloudy. This clears eastern England by the end of the afternoon. The best of the dry, sunny weather is expected across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Expect maximums of 3 to 10 Celsius.

Sunday night
With clearing skies this evening and lighter winds across the North Midlands, North Wales into northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland we expect a widespread frost to develop in the night. More wind, cloud and rain spreads up into the south during the course of the evening and the night. The rain will be heavy. Expect minimum temperatures of -3 to +5 Celsius north to south.

Monday
Another windy day to come with gales over the hills of northern England and Wales. An area of heavy rain across Wales and central and southern England in the morning moves up into northern England in the afternoon. Northern Ireland and Scotland will again be dry until evening when that rain spreads in and lingers overnight. Snow is likely over the Grampians and Highlands. Strong cyclonic winds will affect Britain. Expect top temperatures of 3 to 11 Celsius.

Tuesday
A significant area of low pressure over Britain moves off into the North Sea today. A strong, cold north wind will prevail across the north with strong south west winds in the south where it will be mildest. A fairly cloudy day with an area of rain in the north and west. This tends to fizzle out or becomes very patchy in the afternoon as it drifts south. Mainly dry into the evening and night with a brisk north wind. Look for high temperatures of 3 to 11 Celsius.
