Low pressure northwest of Scotland on Thursday will bring breezy conditions with cloud and rain to central and western Scotland and much of Ireland. Drizzle affecting western coasts and hills where there will be some mist and fog too. Drier in the east and south with the best of any sunny spells in southeast England. Highs at 15 to 18C in the west, but 23C in southeast England.

Thursday Night
A band of heavier rain works into western Scotland and northern parts of Ireland through the night from Thursday into Friday morning. A few showers affecting Ireland, Wales and northwestern England. A cloudy night for most with clearer skies over the far north of Scotland. Overnight lows at 10 to 13C for most. Cooler for more rural areas and over northern Scotland, milder to the south and east.

Friday
A moist and cloudy southwesterly flow affecting all parts of the UK and Ireland on Friday. This brings lots of mist, fog and drizzle to western coasts and hills. Rain affecting western and northern Ireland, much of central and southern Scotland and into northern England and Wales later. Brighter in southern and eastern England with some sunny spells. Probably drier in the far north of Scotland too. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 23C in East Anglia and the southeast.

An area of low pressure crosses Scotland on Saturday bringing heavy periods of rain and strong winds. Most of the rain in Scotland, northern England and Wales. Showers following from the west with eastern areas tending to be drier with plenty of sunny spells. Highs at 21 or 22C in southeast England, 12 or 13C in central Scotland.
