A fair and cool start to the day over most of England, Wales, eastern Scotland and southern Ireland. Increasing wind bringing rain to western Scotland, some of it heavy, with patchier rain in western Ireland. This afternoon sees the rain in much of Scotland, although lighter by now, northwest England and northern and western parts of Ireland. The rest of northern England, Wales, central and southern England should stay dry with sunny spells, although these becoming hazy in more northern areas. Staying windy in the northern half of the UK. Highs at 22C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.

Monday Night
More rain to come in Scotland overnight, whilst plenty of cloud, drizzle and patchy rain affect Ireland. There could be a few spots of drizzle around the western coasts of Wales and southwest England. Dry for other areas with the best of any clear skies in central and eastern parts. Lows near 9 to 12C.
 

Tuesday
A breezier day with low pressure west of Scotland. Fronts will be bringing cloud and rain to Scotland and western Ireland. Some showers affecting the western coasts of England and Wales, these turning to more persistent rain later. The rest of England and Wales should be dry with sunny spells, although increasingly breezy. Fresher, brighter weather with a scattering of showers blowing into Ireland and western Scotland during the afternoon. Highs at 21C in the sunnier skies of eastern England, 15 to 18C in the cloud to the north and west.

Wednesday
Low pressure north of Scotland on Wednesday brings a chilly day for all. There will be showers, the most frequent of them in Scotland, northern England and Ireland as well as northern and western Wales. Residual rain clears southeast England early in the morning, leaving scattered showers to the south with the best of the sunny spells. Breezy for all. Temperatures reaching 11C in northern Scotland, 19C in southeast England.
