Sunday
Various fronts will be pushing across Britain and Ireland from the west, with a southerly airflow maintaining a humid and rather cloudy picture for most places. Patchy rain, focused around western areas in the morning, but an increasing risk of rain developing more widely across the country through the day, with some heavy and thundery bursts. The far south of England and northeast of Scotland may stay mainly dry. Highs at 17 to 18C in northern Scotland, 24 to 26C in southern and eastern England.

Sunday night
Light, patchy rain persisting for western coastal areas through the night while heavier, perhaps thundery, showers will affect the far southwest and northeast of the UK. Drier with clearer skies for more central and eastern parts of Ireland and the UK. Overnight lows widely at 10 to 16C, perhaps falling into single digits for more rural parts of Ireland and Scotland.
 

Monday
Little change in the overall pattern with a south to southwesterly airflow prevailing as low pressure remains to the northwest. Outbreaks of showery rain from early in the day moving from southwest to northeast and, once again, local heavy bursts are expected to develop for some. These tending to ease through the afternoon but could persist over northeastern parts of England, Ireland and Scotland. Between the showers, and through the afternoon, there will be good spells of sunshine for many. High temperatures at 17 to 23C.

Tuesday
Areas of persistent rain are likely to affect many western and northern parts of Britain and Ireland as Atlantic fronts continue to feed in from an area of low pressure to the northwest. Heavy, showery rain with thunderstorms affecting northern and central parts of England, eastern Ireland and northern Scotland. A lot of cloud around on Tuesday and a rather humid feel again for many. Winds generally light, breezy near some western coasts. High temperatures at 17 to 23C.
