Sunny spells

Monday
Further frequent blustery showers affecting much of the UK on Monday as low pressure moves to the northeast. Showers may merge to give more prolonged spells of rain at times for western areas of Ireland and the UK and for central and southeastern parts of England. Plenty of good spells of sunshine between the showers while eastern parts of Scotland and the northeast of England may stay dry. Staying breezy with high temperatures at 15 to 21C.

Monday Night
Showers continue for western areas overnight but staying dry elsewhere. Winds easing over the northern half of the UK which may allow for some mist or fog patches to form here. Clearer skies to the south. Overnight lows widely falling to 6 to 11C.

Some very heavy rain is possible for western parts of Scotland. Staying dry and brighter over south Wales and southern parts of England. Breezy with high temperatures at 16 to 22C.
