Wednesday
Plenty of cloud affecting Scotland and western parts of England and Wales as well as Ireland. Drizzle over western coasts and hills too with fog shrouding hills. Further east the cloud breaks and some bright or sunny spells develop. The best of the sunny spells will be in East Anglia and southeast England. A mild day with temperatures at 17C in any sunshine in southeast England, 14C in western Scotland


Wednesday Night
Cloudy tonight in most northern and western areas. Rain across southern Scotland and the far north of Scotland although this will be light and patchy. Fog again shrouding the hills and coasts. Drier in the far north of Scotland. Drier too in the rest of England and much of Wales, although some drizzle in the far southwest and over the hills of Wales. Lows at 7 to 10C.
 


Thursday
A large area of high pressure over southern areas of the UK on Thursday. A front will be moving into northwest Scotland and northwest Ireland bringing rain here, heaviest in the northwest. Patchy rain and drizzle reaches northwest England and western Ireland later. Always more cloud in western Wales and western England with a few spots of drizzle on hills. Dry for other areas with cloud breaking and some sunny spells breaking through. Highs at 12 to 17C.


Friday
The cloudy southwest flow persists over the UK and Ireland on Friday. Cloud and periods of showery rain affecting Ireland, heavier rain in the northwest of Scotland. Lower cloud and some drizzle over western coasts of England and Wales. Drier to the east and south with some bright or sunny spells breaking through. Southern coasts may have low cloud through the day. Highs at 19C in the sunshine in the southeast, 8C in northwest Scotland.
