A moist and mild southwest flow affects all of the UK and Ireland this morning. There will e a front bringing rain into western Scotland and western Ireland, some of it will be heavy. Breezy here too. Some drizzle over western coasts and hills. Elsewhere the coud breaks with some bright or sunny spells developing. The area of rain slips through the rest of Scotland, Ireland and into northern England and Wales this afternoon. Most of the rain will be light or patchy with cloud shrouding the hills. Brighter and cooler in Scotland and Ireland, some showers in the west. Dry in central and southern parts of England too with further bright spells. Highs at 18C in southeast England, 9C in northern Scotland, 9 to 11C in Ireland.

Friday Night
Cloudy tonight in England and Wales as a front weakens and moves south. This brings a band of patchy rain and drizzle into central and southern England and Wales, but most areas dry. Rather murky with cloud over hills. Clearer skies in Scotland and Northern Ireland, scattered showers in the west. Mild in England at 6 to 10C, turning cooler in northern England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland with lows of 1 to 5C.

Saturday
Pressure is going to be high over the UK and Ireland on Saturday. A weak front is expected to become stationary over southern England and the far south of Wales. This gives drizzle and some patchy outbreaks of rain. Cloudy skies in England, Wales and much of Ireland, just a few bright spells developing. Showers in northern Ireland and wester Scotland with the cloud breaking in eastern Scotland where it feels chilly in the wind. Highs at a cooler 7 to 11C.

Sunday
A cold front eventual clears southern England on Sunday morning, taking spots of rain with it. Turning brighter for most as a ridge of high pressure builds through Ireland, England and Wales allowing for sunny spells. Breezy in Scotland, showers here most of them in the north and west. Dry and bright in eastern and southern Scotland. Highs at 13C in southeast England, 8 to 10C in the north and west.
