Sunny spells for many
Cloudier northwest

Thursday
High pressure brings another fair day to many areas. There will be god spells of sunshine for England and Wales, although again bits and pieces of cloud flowting around. Best of the sunshine in the west. Thicker cloud in Scotland with a front close by allowing for some spots of rain or drizzle in the far northwest. Breezy in northern Scotland but lighter winds elsewhere. A warm day for many with highs of 13 to 17C, cooler in western Scotland in the cloudier skies at 9C.

Thursday Night
Plenty of clear skies through tonight. Some mist and fog patches developing, with the risk of a touch of frost in more sheltered areas. Again there may be more cloud in northern and western Scotland, perhaps in northwest Ireland too. The cloud thick enough to produce some spots of drizzle. Lows at 3 to 7C.

Friday
High pressure remains affecting most of the UK and Ireland on Friday. A fair day is likely with sunny spells for many, feeling warm too. Fronts will bring some cloud into Scotland and the north and west of Ireland. These fronts will be thick enough to produce periods of rain, most in northwest Scotland. Patchier drizzle and rain in western Ireland and northern Scotland. Highs at 18C in the eastern Midlands, a much colder 7C in northwest Scotland.

Saturday
The wind flow turns more northwesterly on Saturday bringing cooler weather to all. An area of cloud with showery bursts of rain will be slipping south through Ireland and northern England, then into Wales and the Midlands. Staying milder in the south with some sunshine. Showers and brighter weather follow to the north with some wintry showers in central and northern Scotland. Highs at 6C in northern Scotland, 18C in southeast England, 10 to 13C for most.
