Morning mist & fog for some

Wednesday
High pressure is centred to the south of Ireland on Wednesday. There may be a few early morning mist or fog patches around and it will be a chilly start, particularly in the south. This will be followed by more dry weather with good spells of sunshine. Northern areas will be cloudier with a few spots of rain for northwestern parts of Scotland. High temperatures at 10 to 15C.


Wednesday Night
Showers in the northwest should ease overnight though some areas may still see a few light spots of rain. Staying mostly cloudy for northern areas, clearer skies to the south. Winds strengthening once more in the far north. A few frost patches may develop for rural parts of southern Scotland, northern England, Wales and across Ireland. Some localised mist or fog patches may develop too. Low temperatures falling widely to 1 to 5C but staying around 7 to 9C under cloudier skies in the far north.


Thursday
Pressure stays high on Thursday allowing for plenty of dry weather and sunny spells. Early morning mist and fog patches will continue to be a risk. Western and northern coasts may remain rather overcast through the day but it will be bright with good spells of sunshine for most. High temperatures at 11 to 17C.
 


Friday
High pressure shifts to the southeast on Friday allowing a cold front to bring thicker cloud and persistent rain to northwestern parts of Scotland. Staying mostly bright, dry and mild for England, Wales and southeastern parts of Ireland and Scotland. High temperatures at 10 to 18C.
