Wednesday
A uch colder morning for all parts of the UK and Ireland. There will be plenty of sunshine and all but northern Scotland and perhaps the north coasts of Wales will be dry. In those areas a few showers are likely. The sunshine more hazy in Ireland, and it is Ireland and the west of the UK which sees more cloud this afternoon. Most other areas are dry with sunny spells, apart from showers in northeast Scotland. A strong northwest wind affecting eastern coasts at first, but this easing as the day progresses. Highs at 9 to 13C.

Wednesday Night
Skies becoming clearer on Wednesday night with showers fading from eastern coasts. This allows temperatures to fall quickly. There may be more cloud in southwest Ireland. A frost by the morning in northern England, central Scotland and parts of mid-Wales. Lows at 0 to 3C in these areas, but generally 3 to 6C elsewhere.
 

Thursday
A deep area of low pressure becomes slow moving to the west of Ireland on Thursday. Severe gales in Ireland with strong winds in the western UK. Cloud and rain for Ireland, this reaching Wales and southwest England too. Tending to be drier and brighter in eastern areas, although clouding over here in the afternoon. Milder in Ireland at 17C, around 10C in southern Scotland and 12 to 15C in England and Wales.

Friday
The remains of the area of low pressure drift through the UK on Friday. A front brings cloud and rain over Ireland and northern England with torrential, thundery showers over southern Wales, central and southern England. Gales may affect western areas at times. Brighter and drier in western Scotland, but some cloud and showers on eastern coasts of Scotland. Highs at 17C in southern England, 10C in northern Scotland and 12 to 14C for most.
