Chilly
Dry and bright for many

Monday
A ridge of high pressure builds over Ireland and the UK on Monday. This should bring a more settled day to most areas. Some bright or sunny spells, the best of these in the west. Lower pressure over southeast England brings the risk of some rain to the southeast and East Anglia. Temperatures at 8 to 12C for most.

Monday Night
Rain clears away from the southeast overnight leaving a dry night for the UK and Ireland. Cloudier skies to the north and west as fronts are close by, clearer skies to the south and east. A few mist or fog patches may form over central and southern areas. Overnight lows at 3 to 8C, cooler in more rural areas where a touch of frost may form.

Tuesday
Pressure remains high over most of the UK and Ireland on Tuesday. Morning mist and fog patches clear to leave broken cloud and sunny spells once again. Fronts may bring rain to the far north and west of Scotland as well as western Ireland later. Breezy here too. Best of the sunshine to the south and east. Highs at 8 to 13C.

Wednesday
High pressure to the south brings dry weather for much of England and Wales but also some mist and fog patches which could be slow to clear in the morning. Fronts in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland give cloudy conditions with outbreaks of rain, these heaviest in western Scotland. Highs at 8 to 12C for many, 13 or 14C for southeastern England.
