Sunday
On Sunday, the area of low pressure continues moving north and centres to the north of Scotland. This will bring spells of rain as well as gale force winds across the Northern Isles. A cloudy start to the southeast of England with rain affecting the far southeast for a time before clearing off and sunny spells develop. Elsewhere, a brighter day with plenty of sunny spells about, but with a fresh to strong wind do expect blustery showers in the west pushing into central regions. Largely dry further east. Highs of 13 to 16C in the south, 8 to 12C further north.

Sunday Night
Overnight, a brisk wind continues to blow across the country with blustery showers still expected to affect western and southern coasts. Largely dry further inland and in the east where clear spells are expected. A chilly night for many with lows dropping to 5 or 6C, milder though across southern areas.
 

Monday
Monday sees sunny spells and showers, showers most frequent and heaviest towards the west and along southern coasts. Still a breezy day but perhaps less so compared to Sunday. A developing area of low pressure moves towards southern Ireland and southwest England pushing cloud in and rain through far southern Irish counties and on across western parts of England and Wales later. Highs at 11 to 16C.

Tuesday
The area of low pressure continues to push across Wales and England on Tuesday sweeping a band of rain eastwards overnight Monday into Tuesday, before clearing eastern regions of England first thing. Expect strengthened winds too. Rain continues to fall, heavy and persistent at times, through northern England into the Borders of Scotland as well as parts of Wales into the afternoon before clearing here. Some showery rain through southern England but plenty of dry periods too. After a chilly start it does look to be largely dry and fine across the rest of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland but with a brisk wind developing in the west. Highs at 11 to 15C.
