Tuesday
High pressure continues to influence Britain and Ireland. A weakening front across the British Isles brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain to much of central, western and eastern Scotland as well as the eastern coasts of northeast England. Elsewhere there will be broken cloud and it should be dry, a few sunny spells in more southern areas. The afternoon brings cloud and further patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle into western and southern Scotland as well as northern and eastern England. Low cloud on the hills here and generally a rather murky day. Staying drier for Wales, western parts of the Midlands and southwest England as well as Ireland. The best of any breaks in the cloud over Ireland and southern parts of England. Fairly light winds for most, although a northerly breeze will feel cold on eastern coasts. Daytime highs 10C in northern Scotland, possibly to 17C in southern Wales, but 14 to 15C for most.

Tuesday Night
Cloud and outbreaks of rain in northern Scotland with mist and fog patches on the coasts. Generally cloudy for most of England and Wales during the night, bits and pieces of drizzle and light rain may trouble the hills of Wales, the Midlands and southern England. Tending to be drier in the east. Some clearer skies over Ireland and staying dry here too. Lows at 8 to 11C.
 

Wednesday
High pressure over southern parts of England continues to influence the weather across the UK and Ireland. Thicker cloud and some spots of drizzle in the far north of Scotland. Elsewhere the morning is likely to stay rather dull with plenty of cloud and some mist or fog patches in Wales, southern England and Ireland. These clear quickly, and there could be some breaks developing in the cloud by late morning and into the afternoon, leaving a few sunny spells to close the day. Highs at a mild 13 to 17C.

Thursday
High pressure stays toward the south, bringing continued fair weather for most of the Uk and Ireland. Some morning fog as well as a a cool start in in rural areas. Sunshine and variable cloud into the afternoon. Light winds for most areas, except the far north of Scotland where the breeze will pick up during the afternoon. A fresher westerly breeze for north and western Scotland, fairly cloudy here, with drizzle affect the northwest. Highs 13 to 18C, warmest southeast England.
