Low pressure is going to be bringing unsettled and windy conditions through the UK on Tuesday. Rain in northern England, this clearing eastern England early in the morning. Brighter in western Scotland and western and southern parts of England with the winds increasing and becoming gale force. This afternoon sees the rain remaining in northern England, heaviest in the northeast where there is a risk of flooding. Severe gales in northern and eastern areas too. Brighter again in the west and south, some showers over western England, northern and western Wales. Drier in Ireland aart from a few showers on windward facing coasts, Coud increasing in the west later. Highs at 15C in southeast England, 10C in the rain in northern England.

Tuesday Night
Severe gales over eastern coasts and hills tonight. There will be rain here too, but this should be clearing for most later in the night. Drier elsewere with the winds slowly easing. Always more cloud in Ireland. Lows at 0C under clearer skies in sheltered areas of central Scotland, 8C in eastern England, widely 5 to 7C.
 

Wednesday
A ridge of high pressure builds over the country on Wednesday. A warm front brings cloud and outbreaks of drizzle and rain across Ireland and western Scotland where there will be low cloud, mist and fog affecting western coasts and hills too by this evening. For eastern areas it will be starting windy, but these winds ease through the morning. Most other places will be dry and chilly to start the day with good spells of sunshine. High cloud increases in Scotland, northern and western areas of the UK. Highs at a milder 13 to 17C.

Thursday
The ridge of high pressure remains over the UK on Thursday. A moist, southwest flow will be bringing cloud and rain into western Scotland and western Ireland with mist and low cloud on coasts here too. Drier with rather a lot of clou in other areas, although there will be some bright or sunny spells especially in central and eastern England. Perhaps a few spots of drizzle under cloudier sies in west Wales and southwest England. Highs at 21C in any sunshine in the east, 17C in western Scotland and Ireland.
