Monday
High pressure centred to the southwest brings a fair day to England, Wales and Ireland, variable cloud and some sunshine once any low cloud, mist and fog patches clear. Fronts trail across Scotland bringing cloudier skies as well as outbreaks of rain and a few showers, most frequent in the north and west. The odd shower possible for Northern Ireland too but plenty of dry weather here and sunny spells. A keen west to northwest breeze for northern and eastern regions, lighter winds elsewhere. After a cool start, highs reach 11 to 16C.

Monday night
Overnight, outbreaks of rain continue for many across Scotland, though mainly dry and clear across the far north and northeast. Through the early hours, rain will push south into northern regions of England. Rain continues across western into southern parts of Scotland thugh it should remain drier elsewhere. Becoming progressively cloudy with the best of the longer lasting clear skies towards the southwest of England. Lows at a milder 7 to 12C though chillier under the clearer skies.

Tuesday
High pressure continues to influence Britain and Ireland, although a weakening front draped across Britain will bring cloud and some patches of rain or local showers forming, but many places will stay dry. Fairly light winds, although a northerly breeze will feel cool on eastern coasts. Some morning mist and fog in low-lying areas. Feeling pleaseant where sun breaks through in the afternoon. Daytime highs 13 to 17C, warmest in southern England.

Wednesday
High pressure stays toward the southwest, bringing continued fair weather for most of the country. Some morning fog as well as starting cool again in rural areas. Sunshine and variable cloud into the afternoon. Light winds for England & Wales. A fresher westerly breeze for north and western Scotland, fairly cloudy here, perhaps drizzly rain in the northwest. Highs 13 to 18C, warmest southeast England.
