Wednesday
Another unsettled day ahead with further showers affecting all parts of the country. There will be a scattering of showers this morning, but also some bright spells. Most showers this morning in Scotland and across southern Ireland. A further area of showery rain reaches southwest England later this morning. This turns heavier over southern coasts as the showers build in Wales, and western England. Further showers for Scotland and Ireland. Probably fewer showers and the best of any sunshine in the east. Highs at 11 to 17C.

Wednesday Night
An area of heavier and perhaps thundery rain tracks through central and southern England together with parts of Wales tonight. Some showers in eastern Ireland. Further showers in central and northern Scotland. Probably drier in eastern areas. Lows at 5 to 8C.

 
 
 

Thursday
Low pressure remains in control of the weather throughout Thursday. This is going to be bringing further periods of rain in much of central England and Wales. This rain turning increasingly heavy and thundery, perhaps bringing localised flooding. Further thundery showers developing in Ireland, again some of them heavy, with western Scotland seeing showers too. Eastern and northern Scotland seeing fewer showers. Highs at 12 to 16C.

Friday
A bright start to the day after morning mist patches have clear on Friday morning. Pressure remains generally low. There will be some sunny spells but also some showers developing once more. It seems that the focus for the showers will be through southeast England, the Midlands, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as northern England. Drier in Scotland with sunny spells. Mainly dry too in the southwest. However, rain arrives in southern Ireland later on Friday, this arriving in the southwest by nightfall. Highs at 11C over eastern coasts of England and Scotland, 16C in the west.
