Saturday
Low pressure to the east of the UK on Saturday while a brief ridge of high pressure builds in from the west. A northwest flow brings brighter conditions with sunny spells and plenty of dry weather but also some showers about. These showers expected over windward facing coasts and hills as well as down some far eastern regions of England and Scotland. Possible heavier showers or even longer spells of rain across far southern English counties first thing. Highs at 9 to 14C.

Saturday Night
Through the evening it will be largely dry but with some lingering showers affecting far easternmost counties. Meanwhile, cloud cover will thicken from the west with the risk of patchy rain pushing across Ireland into Wales and western England. By midnight far western fringes of Ireland will see more steady rain. The rain will continue to push east through the early hours, however, most of the UK should stay largely dry. Lows could drop to 0C across higher ground and more sheltered locations in the lasting clearer skies, but more generally between 1 and 4C.

Sunday
Low pressure will continue to track eastwards into Ireland on Sunday. This will continue to push a band of rain east and across the rest of the UK during the day. Some rain could be heavy for a time and it will be windy across southern areas of Ireland and England in particular. Sunny spells and showers will follow and affect Ireland and Northern Ireland thoughout the day. Highs at 9 to 13C.

Monday
The UK and Ireland will continue to be within a trough on Monday so expect breezy and wet conditions for most. Windiest conditions affecting southern and western coasts. Showers, many on the heavy and prolonged side, will affect much of the UK and Ireland. A separate band of rain will also push across northern Scotland. Conditions improving across Ireland, Northern Ireland and southwest England later in the day. Highs at 10 to 14C.
