Heavy, blustery showers

Tuesday
Gales in eastern England to start Tuesday. Cloud and outbreaks of showery rain here too. Cloudy with further showers across many northern western parts of Wales, the Midlands, Northwest England and southern Scotland. More scattered showers in Ireland and Northwest Scotland, the best of the sunshine across Ireland too. Southern counties of England are likely to be breezy but should be dry with some bright spells. The shower is becoming heavier and more frequent through this afternoon across the Midlands, northern England and Scotland as well as Northern Ireland and western Wales. A scattering of showers across southern England, but mostly dry along southern coast of England with some sunny spells. The wind is easing in the east. A chilly day for early May at 8 to 13C.


Tuesday Night
Further showers through this evening, some of them heavy especially in northern western areas. These showers will continue through the night, mostly affecting northern and western coasts of the UK and Ireland. Tending to become drier in land with the client being more broken and some clear response developing. Lows at 1 to 4C.
 


Wednesday
Sunshine and showers through Wednesday as low-pressure sits of eastern coast of the UK. Some of the showers are going to be heavy and most of them will be focused around northern and western coast and hills. However just about anywhere could see a heavy and thundery showers during the course of the day. Something a cloud is likely across southern Ireland, southern Wales and Southwest England later in the day. More persistent and heavy rain as well as gale force winds affecting the far north west Scotland during the afternoon. Highs at 6 to 11C.


Thursday
An area of low pressure will be tracking eastwards through the channel on Thursday. This will bring cloud and rain to southern parts of England and the south of Wales. A front will be affecting Central and Northwest Scotland with clouds in periods of rain here. In between the two rain areas condition should be dry with some broken cloud although there may be one or two showers. The best of any brightness across northern England and Northern Ireland. Another cold day with highs at 8C in the weter areas, 11C in drier places.
