Dry, murky for some
Drizzle western hills

Friday
A weak cold front sinks south through Scotland on Friday. This brings outbreaks of rain through many western and northern areas, although this is likely to only be light. Mist and fog patches again through England, Wales and Ireland, these slowly lifting and a few brighter spells developing during the day although remaining murky for some. Pressure remains high throughout. Temperatures rising to between 4 and 9°C.

Friday Night
A mostly dry but cloudy night across the UK and Ireland though a few drizzly outbreaks of rain may develop for southwestern areas at times. Winds picking up to the northwest. The best of any clearer skies to the east and south of the UK. Overnight lows at 4 to 6C for many but at 1 or 2C for Wales and central and southern parts of England.

Saturday
High pressure moves to the southeast on Saturday while lower pressure approaches from the northwest. Winds pick up across the country but will be strongest to the northwest. Showery outbreaks of rain affect Irish Sea coasts and, later, western Scotland as an occluded front moves through the area. A cold front brings heavier, more persistent rain into western Ireland later in the day. Highs ranging from 6 to 9°C.

Sunday
Low pressure north of Scotland sends a cold front eastward across the UK and Ireland through Sunday morning bringing rain to most areas with a risk of snow in western Scotland. Tending to be drier further southeast but rain will arrive here through the early afternoon, wuickly passing through. Sunny spells and showers follow to the west behind this, falling as snow over higher ground. Highs at 4°C in northern Scotland, 10°C in southern England.
