Sunday
A spell of rain sweeps east across England, Wales and Northern Ireland in the early hours, continuing to affect East Anglia and the southeast into the morning, clearing to showers for western parts of England, Ireland and Wales. Rain reaches southwestern Scotland later in the morning and spreads northeastward across the country, readily turning to snow over higher ground. Light, patchy rain may develop for southern coastal counties of England later. High temperatures at 3 to 4°C in northeast Scotland, 9 to 13°C for England, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Sunday Night
Outbreaks of rain and snow continue to affect northern and western parts of Scotland overnight while an area of heavy rain may also develop over northwest England for a time. Elsewhere, light patchy showers affect western coasts and hills but for southern, central and eastern areas it's a mostly dry but rather cloudy night. Overnight lows widely at 3 to 8°C, cooler with a touch of frost for more rural areas in the north and west.

Monday
Low pressure is centred to the northwest of Scotland on Monday. Rain and snow sinks affects much of Scotland, this heaviest and most persistent to the northwest. This is also where the strongest winds will be. A mostly dry day elsewhere across the UK and Ireland with the best of the sun over eastern areas. Showers, some wintry, may develop over northwestern-facing coasts and hills later. Mild in the south, cooler north with high temperatures between 5 and 10°C.

Tuesday
High pressure builds to the southwest while low pressure moves to the north bringing a cool westerly flow to the UK and Ireland. Early rain and hill snow over northern Scotland fades into the afternoon as do showers over northwestern coastal regions of Ireland, England and Wales. Occasional showers may develop through the afternoon, these largely over eastern coasts of England and Scotland. A cool day with highs at just 5 to 8°C.
