Thursday
Another murky start to the day across all parts of the country. There could be some dense fog patches through Wales and central England. Cloud and rain affecting northern and western parts of Scotland, most of this light. A few bright spells will break through the clouds during the day, the best of these probably in north east England and eastern Scotland. A mild day with temperatures at 7 to 10°C.

Thursday Night
Broken cloud through the night for much of the country. It should be dry for most although missed and fog patches will likely develop again across many parts of England and Wales as well a central Ireland. A band of thicker cloud may affect Southwest Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland producing patchy rain here, and western coast of Scotland will be drizzly through the night. Lowest temperatures around 3 to 7°C.

Friday
A weak cold front sinks south through Scotland on Friday. This brings outbreaks of rain through many western and southern areas, although this is likely to only be light. Mist and fog patches again through England, Wales and Ireland, these slowly lifting and a few brighter spells developing during the day although remaining murky for some. Pressure remains high throughout. Temperatures rising to between 7 and 9°C.

Friday
The high-pressure remains on Friday although a week front lies through Northern Ireland and Northern England. Mist and fog may be widespread across much of central, southern and eastern England as well as Wales and southern Ireland. This only slowly breaking to allow for some sunny spells. Cloud might be thicker closer to the front where they could be some drizzle and patchy rain on the hills. Probably brighter in Scotland with decent spells of sunshine. Highs at 3C in northern Scotland, 8C in northern England and 6C in southern England.
