Monday
Low pressure to the northwest dominates into Monday with fronts pushing eastward across the country. The fronts bring showers, some heavy especially in northern England, Wales and western parts of Ireland. Showers may merge into more persistent rain across eastern parts of Scotland and England through the afternoon. Breezy and cold at just 10 or 11C in northern Scotland, more widely at 13 to 16C across England, Ireland and Wales. Parts of the southeast may see highs at 17 to 19C.

Monday Night
Rain and showers easing for most areas through Monday night away from western coasts where some light rain or drizzle could persist. Rain continuing too over eastern parts of Scotland which may fall as snow over the highest peaks of the Grampians. Cloudier skies over the northern half of the country with clearer skies to the south. A cooler night for most with overnight lows ranging from 5 to 9C.

Tuesday
A northwest to northerly flow establishes on Tuesday bringing a mixture of sunny spells and showers, some of them heavy at times across eastern parts of England and southwest Scotland. Generally a brighter day in the west; cloudier in the north and east. Highs at a cold 9 to 12C in Scotland and Northern Ireland, more widely 13 to 16C across England, Ireland and Wales though some parts of the southeast could reach 19C.

Wednesday
Low pressure is to the northeast on Wednesday while a weak ridge of high pressure is to the southwest. A band of rain affecting Scotland through the first part of the day while showers will develop over central and eastern parts of England. Cloud building over western areas through the day before a front brings rain into Ireland during the second half of the afternoon. Another chilly day at 11 to 13C in the north and west, 15 to 17C in the south and east though a few favoured spots may reach 19C.
