Plenty of sunshine to start the day. Some cloud and spots of rain and drizzle in northeast Scotland. Scattered showers develop in eastern arts of England this afternoon, with the risk of some thunderstorms over the Grampians and eastern Highlands of Scotland. A low risk of a shower in Wales and across eastern Ireland this afternoon too. Dry for most with further sunny spells. Highs at 22C in southeast England, 14 to 19C for most other areas.

Showers in the east will be fading tonight. Most areas then have a dry night with clear spells. Some cloud in Ireland and across southern England. Lows at a cool 3C in central Scotland, 10C in southeast England.

 
 
 

Wednesday
High pressure centred to the south of the country on Wednesday. There will be dry conditions with good spells of sunshine. A trough brings some showers into northern and eastern Scotland. A weak warm front to the west of Ireland bringing increased cloud and the chance of some drizzle over western coasts. Highs at 12 to 15C in Scotland, warmer in southern areas at 19 to 23C. Thursday
Pressure lowers over the UK and Ireland on Thursday. Fronts bring ome cloud and patchy outbreaks of rain into southern Ireland and southwest England. Increased cloud across many northern areas leading to some spots of rain too. Drier and brighter weather in eastern England, the best sunshine to the southeast. Tops near 22C in the southeast, 15 to 17C for most.
