A bright start to this morning over most of England, Wales and Scotland. Good spells of sunshine, and these continue into this afternoon. There is a risk of some isolated showers forming in parts of Wales, central and southern England early this afternoon, but most places stay dry. Cold and cloudy in northern Scotland. Scattered showers developing in Ireland. Highs at 23C in southeast England, 19C in southern Ireland, 10C in northern Scotland.

Friday Night
Clear skies overnight for much of England and Wales. More cloud in Scotland, most to the north and west. Mostly dry in Ireland with clear spells in the east but cloudier skies to the west where there may be some drizzle. Lows at 6 to 11C.

 
 
 

Saturday
A weak ridge if high pressure affects the UK on Saturday as a warm front moves into Ireland. Broken cloud in northern Scotland, but some bright spells here. Sunny spells for much of England and Wales, although cloud increasing in Ireland bringing outbreaks of light rain. This rain then spreads into western Scotland in the afternoon with some drizzle over the hills of northwest England. Isolated showers in southern England. Dry elsewhere with the best sunshine in the east. Highs near 22C in the sunshine in the southeast. more generally 16 to 19C, but just 10C in northern Scotland.

Sunday
Low pressure crosses Scotland on Sunday. This takes fronts with it, bringing some heavy periods of rain to much of Scotland and northwest England. A more showery band of rain passing eastwards over the rest of northern England and Wales, into the Midlands and southern England in the afternoon. Brighter weather with scattered showers follow to the west. Temperatures at a cold 9C in northern Scotland, 13 to 16C in northern and western parts, but to 21C in eastern England.
