Cool but bright
Frost Sunday night

Sunday
A cool day for all. Bright with sunny spells for many places, best in central & north-western areas. Risk of brief light showers near North Sea coasts, and snow flurries possible for the northern Scottish Highlands. A weak cold front across the south-west of Britain & Ireland produces fairly cloudy skies here, and local patchy rain at first for Wales & the south-west. Chilly northerly winds, especially in eastern areas. Highs 9 to 13C.

Sunday night
Dry for all as pressure builds. A brisk north-easterly breeze may continue around south-eastern coasts. Elsewhere, winds will be very light. Approcahing fronts bring high cloud to the far north-west of Britain, whilst Ireland may remain fairly cloudy. For most places, clear skies will see temperatures fall quickly on Sunday evening, resulting in a frost for many. Lows 3 to 5C in urban areas, but close to freezing or just below in rural parts.

Monday
High pressure briefly extends across the country. A dry and bright day for many, with plenty of sunshine. Fronts moving in from th Atlantic will bring increasing amounts of high cloud to the west & north, turning the sunshine hazy, then becoming overcast. Patchy rain developing for Ireland and western Scotland, later western coasts elsewhere. Light winds, but south-westerlies tending to freshen. Highs 9 to 12C, perhaps cooler in the north.

Tuesday
Pressure remains high across the south of Britain maintaining largely dry weather for the southern England. Fronts draped across north & central regions bring a risk of rain, likely most persistent over hills in north-west England & western Scotland, also Northern Ireland. Patchy drizzly rain for Wales & the Midlands. Cloudy skies overall. A west to south-westerly breeze. Frost unlikely. Fairly mild at 11 to 14C.
