Wednesday
Windy conditions across Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England on Wednesday. There will be rain spreading through Northern Ireland and into southwest Scotland as well as northwest England. Southern parts of England, Ireland and Wales will be dry with sunny spells, although increasing cloud and wind. Severe gales in northern Scotland with some showers here. Little change in the afternoon although with heavy rain having fallen for several hours in Northern ireland, northwest England and southwest Scotland there is a risk of some localised flooding here. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 17C in southern England.


Wednesday Night
A wet night across Northern Ireland, southern Scotland, northern England and northern Wales. The rain band slips south as the night progresses although it will become lighter and more patchy, reaching southern England by morning. Following will be a strong northwest wind, clearer skies but also a few showers in northern and western Scotland. Lows near 5 to 10C.
 


Thursday
High pressure builds to the west of Ireland on Thursday with low pressure to the east. A fresh to strong northwest flow will be affecting all areas. A front clears southern England taking some morning patchy rain with it. Most areas will then have a cool day with sunny spells, although there will be some showers on windward facing hills and coasts, especially in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 10 to 15C.


Friday
A ridge of high pressure builds through Friday. There may be some mist and murk around with broken cloud at first, although this clears to bright or sunny spells. Some thicker cloud could affect western parts of Scotland. Highs at 11 to 16C.
