Patchy rain

Wednesday
A damp morning in central and eastern parts of England. The rain turns more patchy and drizzly in these areas through the afternoon. Damp and dreary further west and south with more spots of rain and drizzle, a few brighter skies coming through in southwest England later. Scotland is likely to be drier with cloudy skies and a few spots of rain over hills in the south. Probably brighter to the north. Near average temperatures for most at 11 to 15C, warmer in the southeast at 19C.


Wednesday Night
Cloudy with some outbreaks of drizzle through Wednesday evening and overnight. More persistent rain over parts of central and southern Scotland, Stronger winds and rain passing into Ireland during the later part of the night. Lows at 10 to 14C.

 
 
 


Thursday
Low pressure over western areas on Thursday. A front will be pushing slowly east bringing the risk of some heavy rain to Ireland and then to western Wales and southwest England by the evening. Elsewhere there will be increasing cloud and a risk of some patchy rain in the far east, but dry for many areas. Tops at 12 to 1C.
 


Friday
A batch of heavy rain and strong winds is likely to advance north into Scotland, and may produce prolonged rain for the eastern Highlands. A brief lull follows, with dry conditions for a few hours for central & southern Britain, some sunshine. Then another developing low pressure area moves in from the south-west. A risk of stormy conditions and heavy rain arriving later. Highs 10 to 16C.
